The conductor Christian Pyhrr, who comes from Freiburg im Breisgau, worked as an opera conductor for theatres and festivals in Germany, Austria and Italy for 25 years. In 1992 he became the director of the Leopold Mozart Conservatory in Augsburg. He has been a guest conductor throughout Europe. Since 1994 he has worked on performances of many important 19th and 20th century works with the Swabian Youth Symphony Orchestra.
